A moving target raises the level of difficulty which is mostly used by veteran shooters. For beginners stick to stationary targets until you are good enough to try mobile targets. The target is either mounted or hung and is usually made of paper. Other compositions of targets are steel, cardboard or cork.

A good type of targets to use for practice is the steel targets with automatic reset. The steel targets offer durability making it usable for long periods of shooting practice while the automatic reset allow sets the target back up after a cycle. This will save you time from moving from your shooting spot to your target just to set it back up for another round of shooting. You also do not have to assemble these types of steel targets. They are usually ready to use when bought. They are also easy to fold and to keep inside your home
